⭐️ ⭐️ WINTER TICKETS – 1ST OCTOBER – 31ST MARCH ⭐️ ⭐️
If you’re looking for some good winter sport, why not take a look at our winter ticket offer.
All of our waters have fished extremely well over the course of the year with some reputable catches across all the waters.
Shepherds has produced some wonderful catches for the pleasure anglers and some of the F1s and Carp have been testing everyone’s tackle this year.
Mobberley continues to produce mixed bags of fishing for our members and I know a few of our members will be turning their attention to the large perch in there this winter, numerous 2lb specimens have been caught and reports of 3lb fish have been mentioned.
Boothsmere is a great winter water, with its shallow depths, it warms up a lot quicker during the winter months and produces Carp, Bream and even the odd specimen Tench during the winter months. The pike fishing can be good fun as well with the chance of half a dozen pike a day either spinning or dead baiting. Well worth a look if you’re after a water to keep a bend in the rod during the colder months.
Mereheath is a firm favourite amongst our regulars and during a winters day when the suns out, this little gem can throw up lots of small carp and keep you entertained.
Doublewoods, the River Dane and Toft again are highly frequented with our current members and these waters get more attention when the temperature drops and can offer mixed bags of all sorts to include Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Chub, F1s, Grayling, Barbel and even the resident Catfish in Toft.
The prices for the Winter Warmer are as below:
Junior Members under 16 Free Intermediate Members 16-18 £40 Adult Member £60 Adult Night Ticket £50 Pensioners £50
If you have any questions around the ticket or our waters, feel free to message us.
Please be aware that after an extensive period of extremely warm weather the algal bloom on boothsmere seems to have grown. Although all parameters are fine, we can not guess if the toxins produced by the algea are present.
We are due a visit from the environment agency to help assist us further.
Anglers should take a cautious approach to blue-green algae.
“Higher levels of toxins are present when the algae is concentrated in one area.
“When blue-green algae is suspected it’s important to play things safety and assume toxins are present.
Please refrain from washing your hands in the water after returning fish and it's highly advised to sanitize your hands regularly when fishing the mere.
🎣🎣💥BOOTHS MERE BOARDS UPDATE💥🎣🎣
BOARDS OPEN FROM 11AM THIS SATURDAY 1st MAY!
As promised, the boards will now be open for fishing from 11am on Saturday.
The woods side has also had a fresh layer of woodchip.
2/4/2021 💥🐋🎣 30lber ALERT 👀👀👀
What a way to open the new season!
Assistant head bailiff barrie banked a banger on the first night of the new club season in the way of this belting booths mere resident mirror carp known as "Ronnie" @30lb 6oz
We've had this fish on our radar for awhile now with anticipation of its weight expected to topple the magical 30lb mark.
This fish is by no means a mug and it has evaded capture since the summer of 2019 where it was weighing in at 28lb+ Barrie himself is a consistent angler on the mere and catches regularly, he has finely tuned his approach and baiting applications to suit the way the carp behave and feed so it was only a matter of time before the two crossed paths again.
We are delighted to kick the season off with a healthy 30lb mirror and it's a great sign that things are looking up for the mere.
If any new members want to tap barrie up for a few pointers please don't be afraid to ask as he's there to help.

30/3/2021 All 2021 match dates, format and rules now live on match page. Please contact stand in match secretary Gary M if you wish to participate in any match.
☆BUDWORTH SAILING CLUB☆
We've had the go ahead from the sailing club that fishing can once again commence from the morning of the 29th March.
They suspect that there will be day sailors out during the week so please be considerate if they are sailing. May we also kindly remind members to:
1) close the gate behind them to stop casual visitors, the sailing club have taken to strictly keeping the gate closed at all times.
2) keep vehicles to the car parking area and not to take them into the boat park areas nor onto the grass. There are land drains all over the grounds and it looks like some have been crushed due to vehicles driving through the boat park and down to the slipways.
DON'T FORGET THAT YOU MUST RENEW BEFORE MIDNIGHT 31ST MARCH !
There is still two weeks to renew your memberships and there will under no circumstances be any grace given on last season's permit.
Bailiffs will be out on the banks checking for new club permits.
For how to renew visit the membership page and follow the instructions.
14/3/2021 ***WATER CLOSURE*** Double woods/Roadside pool will be closed Wednesday 17/3/2021 for essential maintenance works. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Thanks ADAC Committee
10/3/2021 **NEW STOCKING**
Following on from our previous stocking late last year, we have this week taken another delivery of fish to reside in 3 of our waters.
We are continuing to invest back into the club and hoping this brings some excellent days fishing in the future for our members.
Roadside/Doublewoods: * 50 Chub around 6-8 inches
Shepherds Pool: * 250 F1 Carp around 6-8 inches
Mobberley Pool: * 250 Crucians 6-8 inches * 50 Tench around the 1lb Mark
We are committed to continue improving not only the aesthetic look of each water but also the fish stocks. This is something we have been monitoring for some time now.
This stocking takes our 2020/21 stocking program well over 3500 new fish.
3/3/2021 Double woods pool will be closed this Saturday 6/3/2021 for essential maintenance. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Booths Mere Boards are now closed to all fishing.
After a recent risk assessment by the water management team of the boards, we have made the decision to temporarily close them.
This isn't a decision that was easily made as we know a number of anglers enjoy their fishing on there but purely for safety reasons, we are closing them with immediate effect.
The water management team will be doing a full inspection of them very soon to evaluate the repairs required and we'll keep you all informed.
Please do not attempt to fish or walk on the boards until further notice as we have closed them for safety reasons.
We hope to have these open again as soon as possible.

💥💥💥EVENING ALL. ITS BEEN BOUGHT TO OUR ATTENTION AGAIN THAT THE GATE AT MOBBERLY POOL HAS ONCE AGAIN BEEN LEFT UNLOCKED.💥💥💥
All anglers to close and lock gate behind themselves from now please. As the prior covid instructions are obviously not working and the gate is being left open for what ever reason.
Can I please stress the importance of locking all club gates behind you. This is for security reasons and safety. Even if somebody is still on the water after you leave, Please lock the gate behind yourself. It takes 2 mins for the next member to open and lock it behind themselves. Anybody caught leaving gates unlocked will be dealt with accordingly.

Today saw the annual committee match take place at shepherds pool to which was kindly sponsored by mr john deas.
Pegs was drawn at 9.30 and after a hours worth of catching up and top banter all in was called at 10.30 by mr gary mounfield. The wind was often blustery but the sun was high and there wasnt a cloud in the sky so it was hopeful that who's ever swim got the sun first should no doubt hit some carp and get a good start however head bailiff Simon berry was taking a good lead with some silver, a few hours passed and the carp weren’t playing ball they were just cruising and basking in the sunshine. Membership secretary mounfield was making good progress and taking what looked like a strong lead but unfortunately lost a few decent fish which whould be costly as jordan lamb was taking a very quiet lead bagging roach on maggot on the drop, The afternoon's fishing was slow and the hours passed by when jordan lamb had sussed out a few decent sized bream to take a strong lead. Suddenly out of nowhere chairman pete Jenkins landed a decent sized carp to apply the pressure onto jordan while the club's secretary paul McManus had other ideas, Paul's knowledge of the pool wouldn't fail him and he persevered to bag some carp tight up against the Reed mace when his float finally sailed away and he was in to a decent lump, after a 5 minute tug of war Paul finally prized the large mirror carp from out of the Reed bed and finally landed the fish, A tense 30 minutes past with no other major fish being caught apart from a last minute attempt from gary mounfield resulting in a nice tench. The match was called to an end and a very close weigh in was done with a very nervous jordan who eventually won the match. Well done to all the committee members that participated and a massive thank you to mr john deas for sponsoring the event. Winners will be paid out at AGM with remainder of the pot going back into the club.
1st Jordan Jorge Lamb 10lb 10oz 2nd Paul McManus 8lb 15oz 3rd Peter Jenkinson 8lb 4oz

4/6/20 💥💥NEW RULES IMPLEMENTED 💥💥
BOOTHSMERE & TOFT MERE
The commitee agreed and voted for new rules on (4/6/2020)
That a maxim stay on any swim should not exceed a limit of 72 hours.
Any angler leaving the lake for more than 1 hour must remove all tackle from the swim.
The reserving of swims is prohibited.
unfortunately it seems that the weed problem at mobberley isn't subsiding as quickly as we anticipated, for the existing members of the club, they know that it is a on going battle that will take some time to combat the growth rate and totally expel the weed... How ever its come to light that some new members are unaware of this issue so the committee have called a urgent work party this Thursday morning to rake some channels on the swims to make the place more fisheable.. This is a closed work party due to the current covid19 climate.. We hope to have the venue much more fisheable for the weekend. Thanks for your understanding and concerns.

ALL CLUB WATERS WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTILL FURTHER NOTICE.
Although the prime ministers speech this evening may have given us a little hope that we will be allowed out once agin to participate in the sport we love. He has not specifically said angling can start again. We must wait for clarification from the Angling trust and sports England. The club officials also need time to impose any restrictions that may need to implemented to allow them to re open safely. Waters all need safety checks and barriers removed etc before any angling can commence. So please bare with us, we are all in the same boat and all want to get back to angling as much as the next person. We will have more updates as we get it but for now please sit tight. Keep checking the website and social media outlets for updates.
Stay safe ADAC COMMITTEE
🎣On Bailiff rounds this evening on Mobberly pool we dosed the pool with the water dye, Dyofix to prevent the weed growth. We are still out and about carrying out essential maintenance and fish welfare duties along with proactive policing to deter poachers and in line with government guidelines and social distancing. Keeping the waters in tip top condition ready for you all to enjoy when we can finally get back out on the banks. This dye is basically a food grade colouring and stops the sunlight penetrating the water to stoping the photosynthesis process therefore stoping weed and algae growth. It will dilute over time and is totally harmless to all fish, insects and bird life. 🎣
24/3/20 Hi all please see below :
Evening all members,
The committee have taken the decision to close all club waters in light of the current ongoing situation. This means angling and baiting up must not be carried out on any club waters from midnight this evening 24/3/2020 until further notice. This is for the welfare of yourselves and the general public. It is a small price to pay. We believe this is the right choice, and we as a nation have to endeavour to do our upmost in order to stop the spread of this virus in these unprecedented times. Attached is the angling trusts statement and we believe as a club we should all follow suit and do our part to help society:
(Statement from Jamie Cook, Angling Trust CEO. “In light of the Government’s announcement on 23rd March, the Angling Trust and Fish Legal are asking that all anglers follow the current guidance and stop fishing. Whilst we understand the proven benefits on active lifestyles, physical health and mental wellbeing that angling provides, it is not currently classified as one of the safe exercises in which to engage. The Angling Trust have sought clarification on this point and we hope to work with Government, the Environment Agency and Sport England as things move forward, to ensure that access to fishing and the benefits it brings are part of the nation's plan for ensuring our community’s health and wellbeing. For now though, we as a community, must take responsible action to protect ourselves, our families and our communities through this period. This is about saving lives and supporting the NHS.)
I hope you and your family's all stay safe and do your upmost to aid in the prevention and spread of this virus in these worrying times. I will update when we have more info.
Peter Jenkinson ADAC CHAIRMAN
