Dummy angler placed on Shepherds Pool last season.
Dumbo1 trialled to deter cormorant, heron and Canada goose activity at the pool has been reasonably successful, along with lines placed across the water too.
Following on from this test period, Dumbo2 has been placed on Mobberley Pool to do the same work.
Members, please feel free to move dummies if they are positioned in a swim you particularly want to fish but must be replaced when vacating the swim.
Members are asked to respect these actions carried out by our water management team who work tirelessly to maintain Club waters and protect fish stocks.
Thanks in anticipation and tight lines!
NEWS UPATE (RE: CORMORANT ACTIVITY)
In response to the recent Cormorant comment: Phil Johnson. The Committee and associated representatives are well aware of this problem. Not only A.D.A.C. but Angling Clubs across the Country are suffering. This is a subject regularly debated. Please be assured it is a priority within our work schedule. Unfortunately, there is no quick or easy solution to resolve this situation. Please rest assured that measures to prevent fish loss are constantly being put in place as well as being updated. Water Management are working tirelessly, constructing floating islands, placing nets, creating safehavens for our fish by planting and installing nets, etc. Finally, if any member wishes to discuss this issue on a more in depth basis, or even make any constructive suggestions regarding the matter, then please feel free to contact any of the officials listed in your Membership Book. All mobile numbers are also listed for your convenience.
